‘Jolly Jack Happy and Warm’
04/02/2009
Lindsey Gibson and Lisa Quinn two of the centres Animal Care Assistants were happy to find time to go and visit an old friend Jolly Jack this week in his new home. Jack was adopted in November last year after the centre appealed to the public to find him a new warm home before the winter really set in.

Jack came to the centre back in April last year after being taken from his owner; he was underweight and had a terrible skin condition. He stayed at the centre receiving much needed care and treatment from the staff for over 6mths.

When Jack was finally well enough to be rehomed in November last year, staff at the centre were really concerned how quickly we could find him a home. The centre often finds older dogs such as Jack take longer to rehome and as he was nearly 16, there were doubts any one would come through.

After contacting the local press ‘Jolly Jack’ became a bit of a local celebrity and found a loving and warm home ready for Christmas.

Thankfully, The Howard family came across Jack in their local paper and knew straight away that he was the one for them. All the staff were so pleased that Jack, now known as Jolly Jack, found a new home before Christmas.
Jack is now living the life of luxury; he has a loving, wonderful family that care and give him all the love that he deserves. He even has his own facebook page, why not add to your friends!
